Why I Started This Blog
Oct 28

Great question, well here is the answer.  I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1964 to my proud (well I hope so) Parents.  I am the baby in the family with 2 siblings.  I had a great time growing up with a loving family, and hard working parents providing me with all my needs and many of my wants. I was taught at a very young age, that nothing in life is free and you have to work hard for what you want. So I worked hard in school, worked at a job since I was 15, graduated high school then attended collage and graduated as a Certified Engineering Technologist in 1985.

Well, I had made it . . .so I thought.  I went to work for an engineering company, got my own place, bought a new car, and began really hating my life.  Why . . .I was a slave to another man and a company, working my but off to make some else rich.  This lasted 3 years, and I had had enough.  I was then 25 years old, and realized I wanted to be my own boss and control my own future.  So I started in the traditional business world as a Sales Representative for a few years, and then joined a wholesale/retail company as a partner.    For the next 15 years, our company grew moving us from Regina, to Vancouver, BC, expanding from a small office, to offices, warehousing and factories in China, several warehouses and offices in Canada and the USA, and dozens of retail locations throughout Canada and the USA. You would think I would be happy now . . . well guess again.  Business was tough, competition was cut-throat, I was working 80 – 90 hours a week, providing a crappy product and crappy service to our customers.  This was not the legacy I wanted to leave behind.  Partner problems also did not help.    So in March 2006, I said enough, and let me partners know I was out, and gave them 2 months notice.  Now I was concerned.  I had about 6 months to figure something out, and replace what was a very nice income and the life style I was used to.   I have always been kind of a computer geek J, and had seen so many emails of how people made money and a living online.  I had dabbled on eBay somewhat, but that was the extent of my knowledge on internet marketing. I sat at my computer for hours on end, searching and searching business opportunities, but I really wanted to talk to someone, to see if this making a living online was really real.

I came across a nice looking professions site, marketingtips.com and saw their office was located in Vancouver, so I picked up the phone, dialed the number and asked for some guy named Derek Gehl. (Little did I know that I was about to talk to one of the most successful internet marketers in the world)   Well Derek came on the phone and we talked, for almost 30 minutes, about me, and what I was looking for.  He did not try to sell me his product, but told me the basics of what I had to do to be successful online.  He pointed out that I need to develop a list, get an autoresponder, and check out every opportunity I look at thoroughly.  It was an exciting call, and that day was the start on my internet marketing venture.   A few days later I joined an organization, PayItForward4Profits , which today has over 200,000 members, and provides training and support for all network marketers.  Currently I have one of the largest PIF4P businesses and help out on the admin side and provide live training calls, and Success Guide Updates.  A few months later I found my Primary Internet Marketing Company , a company I can be proud of, providing excellent products and excellent service.  I will tell you more about this company in future posts.  Well, I have had success online, and the last 2 years have been a fun ride.  No, I did not have to back to working for someone else.  I make a great living from home, being my own boss, and the feeling of helping others achieve this, is wonderful. Making a living online is not been easy, but it became very possible with the right system, training and support. I spend my days now helping others make money online, teaching, and training. This is a great business, when you are rewarded for helping others succeed.
