If you are looking to get into the Network Marketing Business, selecting the right network marketing company is the most important step you need to take to get started.

Picking the wrong Network Marketing Company can be disastrous. Take a look at the following points when making your decision.

- Solid background. The company you select should have at LEAST 5 years of history, and it should be positive history. If it is a newer company, this can be a ground floor opportunity, but  its Owners must have the positive history, and a very strong financial backing.

- Great leadership. I learned this from Jim Collin’s book, Good to Great. See what the company leaders have done in the past. Also – Are any high profile figures endorsing the products? (With a high profile person’s reputation at stake, they will only associate with top products.)

- Re-usable products. Whatever you’re selling and or consuming needs to be items that are used up quickly and re-ordered regularly. (Mortgage Refinancing doesn’t work in network marketing because the average person only refinances every 5 years.)

- In demand products. Example, the health industry is seeing tremendous growth due to all of the baby boomers. This is paired with the life expectancy rising every day. (We’ could be at life expectancy of over 100 years in no time.) The health field is a GREAT example of a great place to investigate.

- Solid marketing techniques. There are something like 6 or 8 main models of how a network marketing company can pay it’s associates. Make sure the model of your company is fair, and is truly residual. (So that if you ever stop growing your business, your income keeps coming in.) Also – How do you find your associates? (Through the internet? Friends and family?) (Read Richard Poe’s Wave 4: Network Marketing in the 21st Century)

- Do your research. You need to take calculated risks to be successful in anything in life; but make sure you’ve done your research by checking out the BBB (better business bureau), and other resources. See if there is any “dirt” on the company or owners. (Most important though, is to check the validity of the sources claiming the dirt.)

- How are the products delivered? (Do you need to stock a garage full of products? Can the associates place orders directly?)

- Great training. Make sure that you will have the proper training and support from your team. You don’t want to be a part of something where you’re totally on your own to figure it out. (This typically relates directly back to the companies compensation plan.)

- IMPORTANT – How many hours per week do you need to put into the business? Are true passive/residual income techniques employed? (e.g. How do you find your downline? How do they get trained? How much help is your upline?)

Now that you nave selected the right network marketing company, take note of the following points as you get started.

- Make sure you keep your current “linear” income job until your new network marketing company residual income can overtake it!

- MOST IMPORTANT – Learn how to dream, and also learn how to set goals. (Read Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich) 90% of this business is mental. (This is true of any endeavor in life, playing professional sports, achieving great wealth, affecting mass humanity, etc.) EVERYTHING starts with an idea in one person’s head. Conceive it, believe it, and achieve it.

- Don’t Quit, and don’t expect success overnight.  Some people have worked 20 years in their career to reach the success they have now.  Some of you went to school for 4 – 8 years, just to start your career.  Yet still, in network marketing, many quit after 2 months, disappointed that they were not a success in 60 days, and saying that network marketing does not work.

The only failure’s in network marketing are those that quit.  There is no other way to fail.

So you have done it, you finally got your web site up, and ready for business.  Now its time for you to sit back and watch those orders start rolling in . . . right? . . .Wrong!  You now need to start proper web site marketing strategies to start driving the traffic to your site, to start generating the sales that you need.  The internet is no different than the main street store.  No traffic, no sales.  Good web site marketing strategies designed for your business will ensure your web site’s success.

You are probably being bombarded daily with emails like “blast your web site to billions” and “top search engine rankings in 10 days”, if it was only so easy.  On the internet you will find tens of thousands suggestions on web site marketing strategies, but the good news is, there are only a small handful of web site marketing strategies that really work, and these are all you need

Below I will list in my opinion the twelve web site marketing strategies that will work to drive traffic to your site. 

  • An Autoresponder – To some of you reading, you may not yet know what an autoresponder is, but you need to get one, learn how to use it, as your online business grows, it will become you secretary, and will be building you list of prospects and customers so you can communicate with them often. Make sure your web site has an opt-in form where you visitors can join your newsletter.
  • Traffic Exchanges – You need to get traffic to your site and have your product or business exposed to as many people as possible as quickly as possible. Join as many of these traffic exchanges as possible, surf for credits, or buy credits, and get some traffic to your site.
  • Forum Marketing – Join your industry specific online forms and start communication with other members and start exposing your web site to them.
  • Pay Per Click Advertising. Learn the PPC business and start running some ads. PPC advertising like Google Adwords, let you drive targeted advertising to your site immediately.
  • Classified Advertising – Start posting 5 online classified ads every day on a variety of online classified advertising sites. Web site marketing strategies like this and PPC allow you to get traffic to your site now, as you are waiting for some of the other methods to start working
  • Article Writing – Still one of my favourite web site marketing strategies. You’re reading this article right now, right? Maybe when you are done you will visit my site below, that’s how article writing works.
  • Blogging – Start you own blog about your business and industry. Start posting to it every other day, and linking back to your web site
  • Ezine Solo Ads – Rent someone list today and send out an email about your business to the subscribers of that Ezine. Pick an Ezine that is relative to your market. Ezine readers are always interested in reading your offer.
  • SEO and Linking – Talk to a professional search engine submission company to see how they can help you. Create a linking campaign with others you know in the business to link back to your site.
  • Social Networking – Join some of the more popular social networking sites out there, join the business groups relative to your business, start adding friends, and exposing your product and service to them. Social Networking is one of the most powerful web site marketing strategies available today
  • Web 2.0 – Web 2.0 has recently revolutionaries the internet. Sites like Squidoo and bookmarking sites will drastically increase traffic to your site.
  • A Schedule – This is the most important part of your web site marketing strategies. Make a weekly schedule for yourself, on which of the above marketing tactics you are going to do on a daily basis, and follow that schedule religiously.

Doing these above twelve web site marketing strategies on a daily and weekly bases will ensure the success of your online business.  As you can see, there is work to getting traffic to your web site, and it will not happen overnight.  Many people I have talked to quit doing the things above after 30 days and they say “it does not work”.  Sorry folks, the truth to that statement is that they (the person) is not willing to work. Carry on with these web site marketing strategies for three, six, and twelve months, and you will have success in your new online venture

So you have decided to take the plunge, and join a network marketing company.  Well, keep your wallet in your pocket for a while yet, you need to know how to choose the best network marketing business.  To do this, you need to understand what a network marketing company needs to have to help ensure your success. 

There are five critical elements help you select the best network marketing company.  You want to join a great company, don’t you?  If you plan to put your heart and soul into you new home business for the next few years, you need to study intensely the companies you are looking at joining.  This only makes sense, because you do not want to invest you time and money into a company that might not be there in a couple of years, or a company that is not in a growth industry.

Below are listed the five critical elements to help you choose the best network marketing business.

  • 1) The Product: The Company must have a product, or products that are focused in one area of concentration. This allows you to focus your marketing efforts in one category of products, thus laser targeting your customers.
  • 2) The Industry: This must be a growth industry. If you going to join a network marketing company you want to be sure that the products they offer are in demand and that demand in increasing every year. For example, maybe a health product targeted to baby boomers, there is a product in demand and an industry in rapid growth.
  • 3) Company: The company is probably the most important, the product and industry can be great, but if the company is not going to be around in two years, why join. You need to be sure that the Company has the ability to give you long term growth and financial security. Check out the companies history, and for newer companies, concentrate on the ownership. Checking out the ownership and owner’s history is very important here. I am not talking about a successful six figure network marketer, who just started a new company with this great product, I am talking about owners with multi-million and billion dollar backing and a previous history of success.
  • 4) System: A system to market you business must be simple and easy to duplicate. The company and upline distributors must be willing to help you succeed. This is a critical step to help you choose the best network marketing business.
  • 5) Global Reach. The companies with the most potential for success out there have ground floor in their global expansion. Many network marketing companies went form the millions to billions in sales during their global expansion. You want to be a part of that.

Now, having read the above five critical elements of how to choose a great company, you need to consider whether or not you are gambling your and your family’s future on a company that does not meat this criteria. There are many great network marketing companies out there that fit these 5 critical elements on how to choose the best network marketing business, so do your home work, and make that very important decision to find, and join on of them and change your financial destiny.
