I have recently got addicted to electronic eBook Readers. I have both the Sony Reader and then new (to Canada) Amazon Kindle.
I will post my reviews on these later, but for nor here is some information on eBookd for Sony reader.
If you have been searching for eBooks for Sony Reader here is some information you need to know. After a certain period of time books lose their copyright and become part of what’s called the “Public Domain.” When a book reaches this status it is no longer considered illegal to distribute the title without giving compensation to the author, who is typically long dead at that point anyway.
Until recently this meant very little to anyone but book publishers, but in today’s world anyone can download and share public domain works online. Because of a deal between Sony and Google, owners of Sony eBook Readers can access over a million free, public domain eBooks in the Sony Reader compatible file format EPUB, and LRF–and easily transfer them to their readers.
