There are lots of legitimate wellness mlm business companies to choose from, and unfortunately there are also a lot of bad companies out there as well. To help make your search for a great, solid network marketing business easier and with less worries about losing your hard earned dollars, here is a list of 5 things to research when looking for a legitimate company to partner with in your home business venture.
Learn Everything About The Company.
Check out the company’s past performance. Find out how long the company has been in business and what their vision for the future is. Check the founders of the wellness mlm business and make sure they have a solid reputable back ground. See if their current earnings are appropriate for the length of time the business has existed. If you start out with a company that is not experiencing success, you’re not likely to succeed either. Find out whether any magazines or other publications have written about the network marketing business, and read all such materials that are available. You also what to know how many people are already working with them and read some of their success stories, in other words, are there people making money with the company already. Learning the history of a company is beneficial; you don’t want to join one that will not exist in the near future.
Is the Product or Service Tangible.
If a wellness mlm company is on the up-and-up it will have a product or service to offer to the public. Run away if you come across one that has no tangible product or service, especially if they ask you to pay them money and you get absolutely nothing in return. Not only should the goods/services be unique, but they should also be valuable in terms of both finances and function. If you would purchase the product yourself even if there was not a business opportunity associated with it, then you have determined it to be a valuable company to join. This makes it easier for you to market effectively if you believe in the product or service. If you do not recognize it as a great product and use it yourself! , you will find it very difficult to start making money from that network marketing business.
You want to check if the marketplace is flooded with the same product and you want to know if there is a definite need for your product or service offers. Fundamentally, you should personally question whether customers would purchase it and if it is reasonably priced for all budgets.
Compensation Plan.
Every good mlm business should allow the chance to have access to their money plan. You want to know a few things about the plan, but you do not have to know every detail. In order to capture network marketing business, you and your team should know how best you can cater the needs of your ultimate shopper to his full satisfaction. It is another teamwork of getting the best returns on your marketed products by making available the best products to the shopper. The only time that you will be making bank is when a product is sold or a service is rendered so that you can always be sure that you have been given a reliable marketing plan that you did not have to come up with yourself.

You want to be certain that the company has a solid foundation, built on the reputability of its founders. Choose a product that you would willingly use ourself and make sure that its one the Average Joe can afford. If your wellness mlm business and the product or service meets this criteria, then you have probably selected a company that you can feel good about working with this network marketing business and have the success making money from home that you desire.

I love the “Dummies” collection of books, and have read several of them myself. Advanced Computing for Dummies, The Internet for Dummies, eBay Power for Dummies, so I decided to write my own article on the 12 Do or Die Tips for Network Marketing Dummies when selecting a Network Marketing Company.
- 1) A Solid Background. The company you are looking into should have at least a 5 year history and this must be a positive history. If the company is newer, then the owners must have this positive history.
- 2) Great Leadership. If you have read Jim Collin’s book, Good to Great, you will understand this. You need to check out what the company owners have done in the past. Does your company have any high profile people endorsing their products? The owners of the company you are looking at, must already be “Great”
- 3) Re-usable Products. This really is a no-brainer, but very often overlooked. Consumable products are what are going to create your life long residual income. Without this aspect of the business, in my opinion, failure in imminent!
- 4) In Demand and Industry Growth Products. Is the company products in demand, and is the industry growing. A great example of this is the Health and Wellness industry, soon said by many to be the next trillion dollar industry following only automobiles and computers. This is a great place to start looking.
- 5) Solid Marketing Techniques. Does the company you are looking at have solid marketing techniques? Is their compensation plan fair and truly residual? You need to spend some time here. There are several models of how companies pay their associates and how they teach to recruit new associates.
- 6) Do Your Research. Oh, so important. In any business you need to take calculated risks, but you need to do your research. Look for dirt on the company and its owners, and if you do find some, check the validity of the sources claiming the dirt. You will find many failures out there claiming a company is a scam, where the real truth is, is that that person is a scam – meaning, they joined a Network Marketing Company, did not work, made no money then claimed it was a scam
- 7) How are the Products Delivered? Do you need to stock you garage full of products? Stay away from any company that makes you do this. The best company is one that ships direct to the distributor and direct to the customer, sending the distributor a commission check.

Great Training. Is the company you are looking at going to offer you great training? Are their distributor support networks set up to train you?
- 9) Time. How many hours a week are you going to need to build your business? Do you have the time available, or are you willing to make it available?
- 10) Don’t Quit Your Job Just Yet! Remember, don’t do mistake of many Network Marketers by quitting your job too early. Find a Network Marketing Company that will not take all your time, so you can keep your current job and income source until a time when your new business income surpasses your job income.
- 11) Most Important. Learn how to dream and how to set goals. Read the book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (Get your free copy here) You will find that 90% of this Network Marketing Business is mental. Everything starts with an idea. Conceive it, believe it, and achieve it.
- 12) Don’t Quit – Just don’t quit, and don’t expect success overnight. Many people have worked in their careers for 20 years, some went to school for 4 – 8 years, just to be in the position they are in today. Yet, still, in Network Marketing, so many people give up after 60 days, saying that this business does not work. The only failures in Network Marketing are those that quit.

Well, keep your wallet in your pocket for a while yet, you need to know how to choose the best network marketing business. To do this, you need to understand what a network marketing company needs to have to help ensure your success.
There are five critical elements help you select the best network marketing company. You want to join a great company, don’t you? If you plan to put your heart and soul into you new home business for the next few years, you need to study intensely the companies you are looking at joining. This only makes sense, because you do not want to invest you time and money into a company that might not be there in a couple of years, or a company that is not in a growth industry.
Below are listed the five critical elements to help you choose the best network marketing business.
- 1) The Product: The Company must have a product, or products that are focused in one area of concentration. This allows you to focus your marketing efforts in one category of products, thus laser targeting your customers.

- 5) Global Reach. The companies with the most potential for success out there have ground floor in their global expansion. Many network marketing companies went form the millions to billions in sales during their global expansion. You want to be a part of that.
Now, having read the above five critical elements of how to choose a great company, you need to consider whether or not you are gambling your and your family’s future on a company that does not meat this criteria. The question is always asked; “How do I get people to join my network marketing business?” The answer is quite simple – Establish a trust with them. We need to get into the prospects mind, and to do this, we need to fully understand why people join network marketing.
We all remember the day we started, and saw that presentation of that ideal opportunity, and we had our reason to join network marketing. That was simple for us, but to discover your prospects reason, which probably is not the same as yours is a bit more difficult. Our reason of getting involved may seem a good reason for someone else to get involved, but all too often, this is where network marketers fail.
The most important part in sponsoring a new member into your network marketing business is the follow up. If we can move people, they are more likely to join us. If we can discover why people join network marketing, discover your prospects reason, their why, they will be more likely to join you, and more likely to stay.
Let’s first go over the top seven reasons of why people join network marketing.
- 1) Extra Income. There are a lot of people today living pay check to pay check due to the rising costs of food, fuel, and housing. Many people are just looking for a few extra dollars a month, so the money stops running out before the month does.
- 2) Financial Freedom. This is a big reason that people are looking towards network marketing. Many presentations out there focus directly on this reason, but is certainly is not the only reason. If you only focus on this reason during your follow up with a prospect, you will lose more than half your prospects, as this may not be their reason.
- 3) More Time. You may be talking to a big income earner that is putting in 70 – 80 hour work weeks, that does not have time for family and friends. These people are not looking for more money, they are happy with their current income level, they just need more time with their spouse, kids and friends. They need time to travel, and enjoy life.
- 4) Retirement. This is a big one. There are so many baby boomers out there that now realize that they have not adequately planned for their retirement. Currently their income is sufficient, but they realize at the age of 60 – 65 they will not have the income coming in to support the lifestyle they are currently living. They are looking for the “Plan B”
- 5) Helping Others. This is a unique person. They are more interested in helping others achieve their dreams, than helping themselves. Everyone needs one of these people in their network marketing business. Some have already achieved financial success, and just are looking for a vehicle to share with others and help others achieve theirs
- 6) Leaving a Legacy. Some people out there are looking to set up a legacy for their family. With many good network marketing opportunities out there, this is possible.
- 7) Owning Their Own Business. There are some people that hate working for another man or woman. They would settle for half their income, if they could be their own boss.
Now, it your job to study and learn these reasons of why people join network marketing. These 7 reasons above will cover 98% of your prospects why. You can call these the 7 motivation factors in people lives,
When you are doing a follow up with your prospect, after they have seen your presentation, it is your duty to ask them, what their motivation factor is. They don’t care about yours; you do not even need to tell them what your reason is. The follow up needs to be about them.
Again I reiterate that the follow up must be about them. After you discover their reason for joining network marketing, tell them yes, you can help them achieve this, and start expanding on it. After they join you, and many will, talk about their reason every time you speak to them and keep it in front of them always. Following this simple technique on why people join network marketing and it can vastly increase your sponsoring rate and retention rate.
